I am working with a respected UK Public Sector organisation who are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Officer to join their Corporate Services function on a permanent basis. This is a senior, autonomous role with genuine ownership across a broad and varied contract portfolio, offering real visibility and the opportunity to drive commercial excellence within a well-established public sector environment.
You will lead on complex, high-value procurement activity across the full commercial lifecycle, acting as a trusted expert and key commercial partner to stakeholders across the business.

What You'll Be Doing
- You will lead the end-to-end commercial function, managing high-value procurement projects across a broad range of categories — setting strategy, driving compliance, and acting as the senior commercial voice across the business.
- Leading complex commercial projects from inception through to contract award and management
- Setting and driving procurement strategy aligned to organisational goals
- Building and managing a forward-looking procurement pipeline at a senior level
- Shaping sourcing strategy to maximise competition, value for money, and commercial outcomes
- Ensuring robust compliance with PCR 2015, Procurement Act 2023, and governance frameworks
- Serving as the senior point of challenge and expertise for stakeholders across the business
- Utilising Government Frameworks and a broad range of routes to market strategically
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 years' procurement experience (Minimum 1 Year Public Sector Procurement experience)
- A proven leader: you take ownership, set direction, and deliver results independently
- Strong end-to-end procurement experience including contract and supplier management
- In-depth working knowledge of PCR 2015 and the Procurement Act 2023
- Experience managing Government Frameworks and a broad procurement pipeline
- Confident communicator with the gravitas to influence and challenge at senior levels
