A nationally recognised, award-winning public sector organisation is looking for a Construction Procurement Consultant to join a high-performing team managing large-scale national construction and estates frameworks. This is a technically focused role suited to a consultant who combines strong construction contract knowledge with the ability to engage confidently at a senior stakeholder level.
As Construction Procurement Consultant, you will work across construction consultancy, modular construction, and professional services, providing expert procurement support throughout the full framework and contract lifecycle. You will bring credibility with clients and suppliers alike and have the depth of knowledge to navigate complex regulatory and contractual environments.
The role is predominantly remote with occasional visits to the Manchester office and travel to client and supplier sites.

- Deliver procurement consultancy across large-scale national construction and estates frameworks
- Manage procurement activity across construction consultancy, modular construction, and professional services
- Apply in-depth knowledge of NEC3, NEC4, and JCT contracts throughout the procurement and contract management lifecycle
- Negotiate with suppliers across all aspects of the category to ensure delivery meets client and stakeholder needs
- Engage with clients and suppliers as a credible subject matter expert
- Support the marketing of frameworks and contribute to category strategy development
- Present procurement updates and recommendations to senior stakeholders and governance forums
- NEC3, NEC4 and JCT contract experience is essential
- Strong regulatory knowledge including PCR 2015 and/or the Procurement Act 2023
- Consulting background is strongly preferred but not required
- Strong client and stakeholder management skills with the confidence to operate at a senior level
- Public sector experience is preferred but not essential
- Experience working within or across procurement frameworks, with an understanding of how they are structured, delivered, and promoted
- Market awareness with an understanding of emerging trends and supply chain dynamics within the construction sector
- Project management accreditation is preferred but not essential
