A leading UK Tier 1 contractor is hiring two experienced Senior Subcontract Buyers for its Yorkshire Commercial & Procurement team. Full ownership of subcontract packages, sourcing to award, on some of the UK's largest infrastructure projects.

This organisation invests heavily in developing the right mindset, and welcomes applications from commercially driven Buyers, Senior Buyers, or Quantity Surveyors with subcontract experience.

What you'll do:

  • Lead subcontract procurement from work-winning through to delivery
  • Run ITTs and tender processes with supply chain partners
  • Negotiate subcontracts under NEC3 and NEC4, including bonds and warranties
  • Build and manage an accredited regional supply chain
  • Work closely with project, commercial and pre-construction teams

What you'll bring:

  • Solid subcontract procurement experience in construction, civils or infrastructure, or a commercially driven QS with subcontract experience looking to move into procurement
  • Working knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 (JCT also considered)
  • Track record running end-to-end tenders and negotiations
  • Commercially focused on value and risk, not just lowest price
