With an outstanding track record for providing fast-track career progression coupled with aggressive expansion plans moving towards 2020, now is an exciting time to be joining Technology Procurement.
IT & Technology Category Manager role overview:
- Leading sourcing engagements across an array of IT & Technology categories, including Software Applications, Licensing, Professional & Managed Services, Hosting, Cloud, Infrastructure and Hardware
- Developing and implementing IT & Technology category strategy alongside the Technology Procurement Director to embed optimal leverage approaches across tier 1 and niche suppliers, including offshore vendors such as Cognizant and Wipro
- Being ‘hands-on’ with the cradle to grave sourcing process (RFP, RFQ, contract & supplier negotiation, supplier relationship management SRM etc)
- Progressing to the Technology Senior Procurement Manager position within 18 – 24 months
Required experience / qualifications:
- IT sourcing and procurement experience, either with strong general Technology category expertise (Software, Hardware, Telecoms, Professional Services) or specialist knowledge within one Tech area
- Degree, MCIPS & Prince II preferred (but not essential)
