This is a 6-month initial contract, remote-first across the UK and Europe, with a meaningful equity opportunity for the right person over time.
What You Will Be Doing
- Assess client compliance arrangements against REMIT II obligations and translate findings into clear, prioritised action plans.
- Support implementation across REMIT compliance domains - regulatory reporting, market conduct, trade surveillance, and monitoring obligations.
- Draft and review compliance policies, procedures, and guidance to a standard ready for client governance and regulatory scrutiny.
- Run working sessions with compliance, legal, and Front Office stakeholders at client firms across Europe.
- Advise on trade surveillance arrangements and contribute regulatory expertise to the platform's detection logic and typology coverage.
What We Are Looking For
- Senior regulatory compliance practitioner with genuine depth in REMIT, gained inside or advising European energy trading firms.

- Strong trade surveillance experience carries particular weight - understanding how manipulation actually occurs and how to detect it.
- Deep familiarity with how ACER and national regulators apply the rules in practice, beyond the text of the legislation.
- Client-ready communication skills - able to run sessions unsupervised and write to a standard fit for client governance and regulatory audiences.
- Generalist REMIT range across reporting, market conduct, inside information, and PPATs.
Why This Role?
- £500 - £800 per day contract rate, reviewed on application.
- Equity opportunity - the potential to build a meaningful stake in a fast-growing RegTech business over time.
- Work at the forefront of energy market surveillance technology, shaping how the platform detects manipulation across physical and financial books.
- Remote-first working across UK and Europe with periodic client-facing travel.
- Join a founding team with 20 years of surveillance experience backed by PhD-level machine learning - a serious business solving a genuine market problem.
