Following a recent senior leadership restructure, indirect procurement has been established as a standalone business function, creating the opportunity for an experienced procurement leader to define the strategy, centralise spend and build a best-in-class procurement capability.
You'll be given the autonomy and backing to transform procurement into a strategic commercial function, working closely with senior leadership to influence business decisions and drive long-term value.
Leading a growing team, you'll be responsible for embedding structure, governance and best practice, while developing procurement into a function recognised for adding genuine commercial value across the organisation.
The
Opportunity: Develop and execute the long-term indirect procurement strategy, creating a clear roadmap for the future of the function.
Lead the transformation from a largely decentralised procurement model to a strategic, centralised function with robust governance and commercial control.
Partner with the senior leadership team , becoming the trusted advisor for all indirect procurement activity across the business.
Identify and unlock commercial opportunities , delivering cost optimisation, supplier innovation and long-term value across a diverse indirect spend portfolio, including IT, HR, Professional Services and Corporate Services.
Build a high-performing procurement function , developing the existing team while introducing new ways of working, greater accountability and continuous improvement.
Strengthen supplier relationships through strategic sourcing, effective negotiation and performance management, ensuring procurement supports both operational delivery and long-term business objectives.
About
You: You'll be an experienced procurement leader who thrives in transformation environments and enjoys building functions rather than simply maintaining them.
You'll be able to demonstrate: A proven track record of leading indirect procurement within a complex organisation.
Experience delivering procurement transformation, centralisation or significant change programmes.
The credibility and presence to influence senior stakeholders and operate confidently at Executive level.
Strong commercial acumen, with a history of delivering measurable value through strategic procurement.
Previous experience leading and developing high-performing procurement teams.
A collaborative, hands-on leadership style with the ability to balance strategy and delivery.
