Leading global commodity trading house seeks a bright, dynamic Freight Trading CTRM Business Analyst (3-6 years) to join their rapidly growing office in Dubai.

My client is a major global commodity trading house with over 1,000 employees globally across 50 countries, but concentrated in the major commodity trading hubs – Geneva, London, Houston, Singapore and increasingly in Dubai. They trade a wide range of energy and commodity products, including crude oil, refined petroleum products, natural gas (including LNG), power, biofuels, and agricultural products.

This specific role will support Freight Trading from Dubai for both dry and wet Bulk Commodities, including energy commodities (crude oil, refined products, LNG, coal), agricultural products (grains, sugar, coffee etc.) and metals (iron, copper, aluminium).

This is a fabulous career opportunity for an ambitious CTRM Business Analyst keen to relocate to Dubai, or stay in Dubai (if you live there already), joining a world-leading multi-commodity trading business that is growing aggressively globally. Whilst this role is very much Dubai based, you will be joining a global business with trading hubs globally, so future career opportunities in all these hubs are available as well if you decide to leave Dubai in the future.

It is essential that you have 3 years+ Freight Trading CTRM Business Analysis though and are happy to relocate (or continue living in Dubai) as this role will be 3-4 days in their Dubai office, with 1-2 days flexi working (working from home).

Salary: AED 20,000 – 25,000 base PCM (AED 240,000 – 300,000 annually) TAX FREE + bonus + benefits + UAE visa sponsorship + relocation assistance.

Key skills/experience needed:
  • They are looking for a very bright, proactive, and detail-orientated Freight Trading CTRM Business Analyst with circa 3-6 years experience working as a Business Analyst within the Freight Trading, Shipping or Logistics industry.
  • This can be working for a rival commodity trading house, E/CTRM software vendor or E/CTRM services consultancy.
  • Strong academics including a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Studies, Oil & Gas or other related field (although flexible on the subject).
  • Strong knowledge of Risk Management practices relevant to Freight Trading and Maritime.
  • Hands-on experience working with IT systems, business process modelling and functional documentation.
Desirable skills:
  • Specific experience working with Endur, IMOS (Integrated Maritime Operations System), Aspect or other major 3rd party CTRM systems – desirable but very useful.
  • Understanding of chartering, voyage management, and maritime commercial operations - desirable.
  • Experience of data tools including SQL, PowerBI, Excel - desirable.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies in project environments - desirable.
