Our client is a fast-moving, entrepreneurial multinational organisation operating within a highly complex structure and currently undergoing a significant procurement transformation programme. This is a high-visibility environment where Procurement is being repositioned as a key strategic partner to the business, with strong senior leadership sponsorship and an agenda focused on capability building, value delivery, and operational excellence.
The Head of Indirect Procurement is a hands-on leadership role, accountable for driving the Indirects agenda across IT and Indirect categories (HR, Professional Services, Marketing, Travel, and Utilities) for the UK & Ireland. This role combines strategic leadership with direct ownership of high-impact procurement activity, including strategy development, sourcing, contracting, and value delivery.
This is a key leadership position within a high-performing Procurement function that is actively transforming, building stronger category capability, enhancing commercial impact, and embedding a more strategic, data-led approach to value creation.
- Category & Sourcing Leadership (Hands-on delivery)
- Own end-to-end procurement delivery across IT and Indirect categories (HR, Professional Services, Marketing, Travel, Utilities)
- Develop and execute category strategies aligned to business and transformation priorities
- Lead complex sourcing, negotiations, and contract execution
- Act as Procurement lead for the UK & Ireland market
- Partner with senior stakeholders and embed Procurement into strategic decision-making
- Balance global standards with local market requirements
- Build capability, accountability, and a strong performance culture in a complex environment
- Remain closely involved in delivery alongside the team
- Risk & Governance
- Ensure effective risk management and business continuity planning
- Maintain compliance across procurement policies, controls, and P2P processes

Proven leadership experience in indirect procurement across IT and wider indirect categories (HR, Professional Services, Marketing, Travel, Utilities) is essential. A hands-on leader with both strategic capability and strong delivery ownership is required. Proven track record of working in or leading procurement transformation environments is necessary. Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving clarity across complexity.
