This globally renowned organisation is at an exciting stage of its procurement journey, transforming from a traditional purchasing model into a more strategic, category-led function. Facilities Management is a key focus area within this evolution, and they are now looking to appoint an FM Category Manager to support the development and delivery of a more structured, value-driven approach across hard and soft services.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to step into, or further develop within, a category management role in a supportive and evolving environment. You will take ownership of elements of the FM category, working closely with senior procurement leadership to help shape strategy, improve supplier performance, and embed best-practice procurement processes. Rather than inheriting a fully mature function, you’ll be part of building it—gaining exposure to transformation, stakeholder engagement, and strategic sourcing across a complex, multi-site estate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and delivery of category strategies across FM (hard & soft services), including M&E, maintenance, cleaning, security, and catering.
  • Lead and support end-to-end sourcing activity, from market analysis through to contract award and implementation.
  • Contribute to building best-practice procurement, contract management, and supplier governance frameworks.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the business to support a shift towards a more strategic, category-led approach.
  • Help manage supplier relationships to improve performance, service quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Support the wider procurement transformation, embedding consistent processes and ways of working.
Experience & Background
  • Experience in Procurement, Sourcing, or Category Management.
  • Exposure to FM categories (hard and/or soft services) is beneficial.
  • Keen to develop within a category-led, strategic procurement environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a changing environment.
  • Degree qualified; CIPS (or studying towards) preferred.
Why Apply?
  • Ideal opportunity to develop your career within a transforming procurement function.
  • Gain hands-on experience in category management and strategic sourcing.
  • Work within a globally recognised organisation with a complex, multi-site environment.
  • High exposure to senior stakeholders and real impact on how procurement evolves.
  • Competitive package with strong long-term development opportunities.
