An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the world's leading communications and technology organisations as Head of Sustainable Procurement. Following continued investment into its global procurement function, the organisation is seeking an experienced procurement leader to drive its sustainable procurement agenda, embedding responsible sourcing, supplier governance and ESG principles across a complex international supply base.

Working closely with executive stakeholders, this role will be instrumental in shaping procurement strategy, strengthening supplier resilience and ensuring sustainability remains at the heart of procurement decision making.

As Head of Sustainable Procurement, you will:

  • Lead the global sustainable procurement strategy across a diverse international supplier base
  • Drive supplier governance, responsible sourcing and ESG initiatives across the procurement function
  • Develop and enhance supplier due diligence, sustainability and risk management programmes
  • Embed sustainability into sourcing activity, supplier selection and ongoing supplier management
  • Partner with senior stakeholders globally to influence strategy and deliver long-term business value
  • Continue developing supplier performance frameworks, reporting and governance capabilities
  • Play a key role in driving procurement transformation and continuous improvement across the function

Procurement knowledge and experience required:

  • Demonstrable experience leading Sustainable Procurement, Responsible Sourcing or Supplier ESG programmes
  • Strong understanding of supplier governance, supplier risk and sustainability within procurement
  • Experience implementing procurement strategy across complex international organisations
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence executive leadership teams
  • Strong commercial acumen alongside a passion for sustainability and procurement transformation
  • Degree, MBA or CIPS qualifications would be advantageous, although not essential
