About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a truly global, market-leading organisation embarking on one of the largest procurement transformation programmes in its history. Backed by an award-winning Chief Procurement Officer, the business is investing heavily in building a world-class procurement function that will play a critical role in shaping the organisation's future.

This is a highly visible role where you will partner with senior stakeholders across the business to optimise spend, improve supplier performance, and deliver strategic sourcing initiatives. You'll help drive change, influence key business decisions, and embed best-in-class procurement practices across a complex international organisation.

We're particularly interested in individuals who have developed their procurement expertise within a leading management consultancy or boutique procurement consultancy and are looking to apply that experience in-house within a global business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse enterprise-wide spend data to identify commercial opportunities and deliver measurable cost savings.
  • Lead strategic sourcing and category management projects across a broad range of indirect spend categories.
  • Drive procurement transformation by implementing new processes, systems, and best practices.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to influence procurement strategy and support commercial decision-making.
  • Develop sourcing strategies, lead complex tender processes, and negotiate high-value supplier agreements.
  • Build strategic supplier relationships that drive innovation, value, and long-term performance.
  • Support procurement governance, supplier performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Use market intelligence and data analytics to shape sourcing strategies and identify opportunities for further optimisation.

Requirements

  • Experience in strategic procurement, category management, procurement consulting, or commercial sourcing.
  • Ideally gained within a leading management consultancy or boutique procurement consultancy, or within an in-house procurement transformation team.
  • Strong analytical capability with experience interpreting spend data and developing commercially focused recommendations.
  • A proven track record of driving change and influencing senior stakeholders within complex organisations.
  • Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation, project delivery, and supplier management skills.
  • Experience with ERP and eProcurement platforms such as SAP, Coupa, Ariba, or Oracle is advantageous.
  • CIPS qualification (or working towards) is desirable.
