One of the nation’s leading FMCG firms is investing heavily in its Strategic Procurement Hub, and due to an influx of major £ Multi-Million projects they are in need of a CAPEX & MRO Procurement Category Manager to join their award winning team. As well as a challenging project oriented environment, the CAPEX & MRO Category Manager will enjoy bringing strategic leadership to this immature, growing category.
As CAPEX & MRO Category Manager you will:
- Create and implement category strategies for key spend areas aligned with the Business Units and Group Service functions
- Develop senior stakeholder relationships, expanding procurement’s involvement and control of non-traditional spend areas
- Use your deep knowledge of sourcing and/or category management processes to drive transformational change and improvement
- Present key insight/updates to the key stakeholders covering data analysis & market insight in order to ensure effective planning and decision making
- Implement a supplier relationship strategy to achieve the agreed KPIs and to develop sustainable added value potential
Required experience & qualifications:
- Significant MRO and/or CAPEX category management
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Procurement
- Specialist knowledge & experience in the defined categories of energy, utilities, chemicals, waste management and packaging recycling is desirable
- Ability to turn strategies and decisions into action
