Due to a period of sustained growth and the frequent Investment and acquisition of new business, this Award-Winning Construction firm seek a Category Buyer for Materials, Capital Equipment & Site Services to bolster their ranks across major Construction & Infrastructure projects.
Typified by their people centric and purpose led approach, this market leading Construction & Infrastructure firm specialize in commercial and project management across Major Works. They leverage a wealth of experience, resources and procurement expertise to add value across multiple verticals such as Transportation, Energy, Defence, Social Infrastructure and Civil Engineering.
The role will be primarily responsible for overseeing the entire procurement process, including sourcing subcontracts, materials, equipment, and plant for a designated area within the business unit. Additionally, the role may involve providing support on other contracts within the business unit as needed. Key responsibilities include preparing RFQs, managing and assessing responses, and providing recommendations for awarding contracts.

Procurement Consultant Required Background:
- End to end procurement experience within a Construction, Major Projects, Rail, Defence, Capex, Infrastructure, Real Estate type field (open to categories covered).
- Experience with subcontracts is essential.
- Exposure and working knowledge of NEC / JCT / FIDIC contracts – industry preference within Construction, Infrastructure, Energy, Defence or Rail Transport.
- Experience of Oracle R12 and Jaegaer Bravo would be advantageous.
- Confident communicator, problem solving skills, and strong stakeholder / client management.
- Sound Commercial acumen and ability to negotiate both commercial deals and contractual T&C’s.
- Ability to work at pace within a project-based environment.
- CIPS qualified or working towards preferable.
- Must have Right to work in the UK.
