The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 £ per year.

To manage maintenance and compliance activities for the upkeep of a service area’s group of properties within the Council's portfolio (Property Group Manager). To undertake small to medium sized maintenance projects, feasibility studies, building surveys and other duties, to produce schemes and reports to a high professional standard. To implement strategic policies and procedures for the management of Health and Safety in relation to the Council’s Corporate Estate.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Must have a building related relevant qualification for example ONC/HNC/ Degree
  • Ideally with a relevant professional membership, for example RICS, CIOB
  • Experience in a similar role in Local Government or Public Sector with a minimum of 5 years of that experience being in operational and planned maintenance for a Corporate Estate (non-residential)
  • A track record of strong and effective project management.
  • A track record of managing budgets whilst delivering high quality value for money services.
  • A thorough working knowledge of current building legislation, e.g. CDM Regulations, Building Regulations, Planning Legislation, Codes of Practice etc. together with a working knowledge of standard forms of contract (including JCT).
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.

Please note this is a contracted position of 3-6 months with the possibility of extension depending on budgets and performance.

Please note as an agency we can only offer an Umbrella PAYE rate for this post and confirmation of Eligibility to work in the UK will be required before submission.
