Currently recruiting for Nursery Assistants to manage their own group of key children, carry out observations and provide stimulating and exciting activities to support each child’s individual needs and develop their skills, build excellent bonds with children, work in partnership with parents and other professionals, and keep the nursery a safe place for children to explore and learn.
Duties will include:
- Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Be aware of all fire evacuation procedures, security and safeguarding children policies
- Ensure and maintain health and safety cleanliness throughout the nursery in all areas, of all equipment and ensure general cleanliness of children always
- Continually work as part of a team
- Support and mentor students
- Ensure confidentiality is maintained in the nursery
- Provide a fun, stimulating, safe, secure and educational environment for all the children within the nursery
- Plan and prepare a variety of activities to meet individual children’s needs following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
Candidate requirements:
- An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS in date or on the update service
- A level 3 qualification in Childcare
- Previous experience in the childcare setting
- Good knowledge of SEN and safeguarding
- Good written and verbal communication
