Food Production Chef

My Client in Thamesmead is currently looking for a food production/Chef to join their team.

Key Responsibilities and duties

• Ensure all food is prepared as per food preparation requirements
• Ensure food is produced on time & sufficient quantities are available
• Maintain stock levels of all kitchen supplies
• Oversee and supervise all kitchen staff
• Follow the recipe cards
• Take part in NPD
• Ensure wastage is minimised by careful supervision of food preparation methods
• Oversee the ordering and control of stock levels
• Ensure staff are working safely at all times
• Follows the company ’ s H&S, Hygiene and Quality policies
• Always follow the ‘clean as you go ’ procedures
• Checks the quality of the ingredients before using them
• Report any issues to the management team
• Follows company ’ s uniform and hygiene standards at all times
• Operates all the equipment in line with company guidelines
• Use PPE when required
• Assists with the training and coaching of new team members
• Contributes towards achieving the team ’s goals

Additional Responsibilities

Attends training courses / meetings when required

Takes on additional responsibilities as requested by the Management Team
