Our Client is an expanding construction business delivering high-quality projects across the UK. We operate across new build, fit-out, and refurbishment sectors, managing schemes from £50,000 through to £1,000,000+. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a driven and commercially minded Senior Project Manager to join our team and play a key role in our next phase of development.
Job Role: Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will take full ownership of projects from initial enquiry through to final account and handover. This is a commercially focused role; you will be expected to quote, win, and deliver work to the highest standard. You will manage subcontractors, client relationships, programme, and budget across a varied portfolio of projects throughout the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate, competitive tenders and quotations across a range of project values (£50k–£1m+)
- Take full project ownership from award through to practical completion and final account
- Develop and maintain project programmes, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and directly employed labour
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact throughout delivery
- Monitor project budgets, identify commercial risks, and report on financial performance
- Conduct regular site visits and attend client, design team, and progress meetings
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health & safety legislation and company procedures
- Produce progress reports and project documentation for internal and client use
- Contribute to business development, identifying opportunities to grow the ADF Construction portfolio
Person Specification
Essential
- Demonstrable experience managing construction projects valued between £50,000 and £1,000,000+
- Strong estimating, tendering, and commercial awareness
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously from a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and client-facing communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Solid understanding of construction health & safety requirements
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel UK-wide
Desirable:
- Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline
- Experience across new build, fit-out, and refurbishment projects
- SMSTS or equivalent health & safety certification
- Experience using project management or estimating software
Hours: Monday – Friday 8.30 am – 4:30 pm
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum DOE
