Our client, based in Stoke, is currently enjoying a period of growth, which has resulted in the creation of a new role within the team. Working with an energetic and forward-thinking team, this role will be integral to the business and will involve working on some amazing opportunities to grow the sales function within the business. This role will involve dealing with clients in both the UK and overseas. This is an excellent opportunity to join this amazing business.
Job Description for the Technical Estimator role:
- Maintaining effective customer relationships with various current and prospective accounts, with the aim of taking orders at budgeted/targeted margins.
- Preparing information for the quotes and bid-writing for prospective and current customers.
- To liaise with our manufacturing, drawing, despatch, and purchasing teams to ensure that the customer experience is first class, keeping abreast of raw material prices, labour timescales, and lead times to aid you in the estimating process.
- To read technical drawings to gather all the required details to be able to ensure the bid is accurate to the details at hand, and that the products quoted are suitable.
- To support the sales function of the business, ensuring that quotations and bids are submitted to the highest level of detail, accurately, and on time.
- On occasion, to travel to the site to support the client.
For the Technical Estimator role, it would be good to see candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Manufacturing or engineering experience is essential.
- Sales office/customer liaison experience.
- Bid writing experience would be advantageous.
- The ability to read technical drawings – CAD experience is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills.
- 5 GCSEs – Math & English at C-level or equivalent.
- A strong team player with a flexible approach.
- Strong IT skills in MS Office.
- Experience in using a CRM system is an advantage.
Hours: Monday- Thursday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, & Friday 8:30 am – 4:00 pm
Salary: £35,000 – £50,000 DOE Per Annum
