Due to business growth we have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Advisor with CAD experience to join a vibrant team. Working in a fast-paced and busy manufacturing environment, the role is office-based and primarily involves the production of technical project specification proposals, site reports, test reports, and supplementary calculations (to support specification proposals and reports), as well as providing technical support and advice to internal sales staff and external customers.
As the Technical Advisor you will be responsible for:
- Producing project specification proposals, test reports, site visit reports, with supplementary calculations and details;
- Providing technical support to direct customers, clients, and internal team members;
- Producing 2D CAD details and 3D modelling, ideally using AutoCAD software to produce basic 2D details and Fusion 360 / KeyShot software to produce 3D rendered images.
It would be good to see candidates with:
- Construction-based qualification/experience or Architectural/Product Design qualification/experience in a similar role;
- Experience using AutoCAD or similar is essential;
- 3D Modelling would be ideal but not essential;
- Previous experience in a technical role would be ideal;
- Previous experience in writing technical specifications or project specifications would be advantageous;
- Any knowledge of calculations including U value, condensation risk analysis would be an advantage;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Excellent telephone manner;
- Strong work ethic with an eagerness to learn;
- Must be able to use Excel, PowerPoint, and Word;
- Highly organised;
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Hours: Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Salary: £25,000 Bonus based on company performance (not guaranteed).
