An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Accountant to work for a global business who offer cutting-edge solutions in Life Science and Industrial Chemicals, on a 6 month temporary contract. This is a hands-on role supporting the finance controller to deliver a high-quality accounting, compliance and reporting service for 4 companies in UK and Ireland.

Job Description:

  • General ledger reconciliations, journals, cost allocations, payroll validation, maintenance of lease information and fixed asset registers.
  • Management accounts reporting and validation.
  • Audit support including preparation of client schedules and collation of related evidence.
  • Accounts payable: account reconciliations & resolution of issues, vendor account set up & bank verification, purchase order management (overheads only), manual payments control.
  • Sundry fiscal reporting.
  • Ad hoc analysis and support to the Finance Controller.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Graduate, AAT/CIMA or QBE.
  • Previous experience working as an Assistant Accountant, Accounts Manager, Assistant Management Accountant, Senior Accounts Assistant or similar role is essential.
  • Previous experience of large, fast paced environment.
  • Experience of multi-currency transactions and shared service centre collaboration.
  • D365 experience useful.
  • Advanced excel skills.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:45 am – 5:00 pm, Hybrid working with 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.

Salary: £17.95 per hour.
