A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a well established specialist engineering business based in Fenton. As the Bookkeeper you will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting activities and financial records.
Job Description
- Responsible for processing purchase and sales invoices using Sage
- Allocate invoices to correct cost codes
- Bank reconciliation
- Balance sheet reconciliation
- Raising sales invoices and monitor bank account balances to ensure receipt of payment
- Credit control, ensuring on payment runs to ensure timely payment of invoices
- Processing supplier payments
- Manage employee expenses
- Prepare VAT returns
- Prepare financial statements to show income and expenditure
- Identify and investigate anomalies
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Bookkeeper, Accounts Assistant, Accounts Clerk or similar role is essential
- Must have experience using Sage
- Attention to detail
Hours
Ideally 30 hours over 4 days; however, can be flexible on this. The office opens between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, so start and finish times are flexible.
Salary
£15.00 - £17.00 Per Hour
