Our client is a market-leading company in a niche sector who have been established for over 60 years, in the supply, manufacture, design, installation, and service of engineering equipment. They are seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Engineer based in South Cheshire, to complete nationwide installations and servicing of their equipment. The Mechanical Site Engineer will be required to travel nationally, with regular overnight stays required. Job Description: The Mechanical Site Engineer will work alongside the Electrical Engineer and the duties will include: Attend installations and breakdowns nationwide when necessary and ensure that the call-out policy is maintained Service, repair, and assembly of equipment on-site Maintain and improve company procedures where possible Complete site reports after each visit Be a good ambassador for the company Ensure that the company vehicle is stocked at all times, as van stock and tools will be required Be prepared to stay away from home when required, at least 1-2 nights per week When requested, be available on a rota basis to provide standby cover over weekends and bank holidays It would be good to see Mechanical Site Engineers with: Experience working in a similar role or maintenance A mechanical engineering qualification is preferred A driving licence is essential to travel to the site and for national travel Ideally trained in the following areas – confined space, first aid & CSCS Be able to deal with engineering challenges Ability to work flexibly Be a team player Ability to manage own workload Hours: Monday-Friday, 40 Hours per Week + Overtime Salary: £14.00/hr, but dependent on experience and site access accreditations Once trained, you can expect to earn £40k+ (including overtime premiums) Benefits: 30 holidays, including BH, rising to 33 after 1 year of service and the beginning of the next calendar year Auto-enrolment pension.
