The company is currently recruiting for a Control System Design Engineer to join their team.

Our client is a market-leading company in a niche sector who have been established for over 60 years. They specialise in the supply, manufacture, design, installation, and service of engineering equipment. The company is currently recruiting for a Control System Design Engineer to join their team, where you will be responsible for producing schematic designs using various software. You must have a driving license to apply for this role due to the location of the company.

Job Description for the Control System Design Engineer:

  • Produce schematic designs using EPLAN and AutoCAD Electrical
  • Ensure the bill of materials is produced for manufacturing to meet client requirements
  • Liaise with clients and suppliers to offer the most effective performance and expertise in design, and maintain an excellent rapport
  • Use PLCs, HMIs, VSDs, and other control products and designs
  • Attend various sites
  • Telemetry interrogation and support

Requirements for the Control System Design Engineer role:

  • Must have knowledge of the industry and a minimum of 5 years’ experience within a similar role
  • Experience using Electrical CAD packages is essential
  • Familiarity with VSD and soft start technology
  • Knowledge of computer control panels
  • Must have experience using panel design, assembly, and wiring
  • Experience with SCADA, networks, and telemetry principles is desirable
  • Must have strong organisational skills and be able to manage their own workload
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced role
  • A driving licence is essential

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Salary: DOE

Benefits:

  • 30 holidays, including BH, rising to 33 after 1 year of service and the beginning of the next calendar year
  • Auto-enrolment pension. Initial 5% employee contribution. After 3 years’ service, the company will fund the employee contribution
  • After a qualifying period, you will be entitled to private health care (taxable), critical illness cover and death in service cover
  • Annual business performance-related bonus (non-contractual)
  • Opportunity for progression and training
  • Flexibility to work contracted hours over 4 days – subject to manager’s discretion
