An opportunity has arisen for an Electrician to join a contractor company, where you will travel to various locations around the UK. The Electrician will support with electrical installations in both commercial and domestic properties, including call-outs, power installations, lighting upgrades, electrical testing and planned maintenance.
You must have a full UK driving licence to apply for this role.
Job Description:- Attend service and reactive breakdowns to carry out fault finding, diagnose and repair in a timely manner.
- Carry out day-to-day responsive maintenance, servicing, and repairs as instructed.
- Assess repair needs on-site and make immediate decisions if the original job order does not reflect the actual work required, informing the relevant director accordingly.
- Notify the customer if a repair cannot be completed on the first visit, arrange a mutually agreed return date, and inform the relevant director.
- Liaise with management and/or client to ensure all works are completed.
- Ensure that all works and repairs are completed safely in line with current practices.
- Ensure a best value and cost-effective approach when purchasing materials.
- Minimum of 5 years’ site experience in completing electrical installations.
- Must have commercial and domestic experience.
- Excellent knowledge of BS 7671 – IET Wiring Regulations.
- City & Guilds BS7671:2018 Level 3 - Electrical Installations.
- City & Guilds 2391 (2391-52) - Testing and Inspecting (previously 2394/2395).
- Full UK clean driving licence.
- Be part of the emergency call-out team on a rota basis.
- Must be able to travel across the UK and work additional hours when needed.
- Must be able to complete a DBS certificate.
Salary: £37,000 - £40,000 + on-call and overtime payments
