If you are an enthusiastic, positive and passionate practitioner wishing to engage with and further develop the school's SEND provision, Brampton Primary Academy is the school for you. We wish to appoint a Special Education Needs Teacher to start as soon as possible. The SEND Teacher role is vital to our school, you will be supporting in identifying pupils with SEND, take a lead role in the development of teaching and learning and small step curriculum development in our SEND unit and you will develop assessment processes in conjunction with the SENDCo, provide support and guidance to colleagues across the school ensuring that our SEND provision is promoting good outcomes for all our pupils with SEN or a disability.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Have a secure knowledge and understanding of the Primary curriculum and SEND provision in the school.
  • Have a sound knowledge of how to use IT effectively throughout their professional role.
  • Understand the responsibilities under the SEND Code of Practice and know how to seek advice from specialists.
  • Have a secure knowledge of a range of learning and physical needs and difficulties, such as, ADHD, ODD, ADD, SEMH, ASD, Downs syndrome, HI, VI.
