The HLTA will play a key role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning across the school. This includes delivering planned lessons, working with individuals and small groups of pupils, and contributing to pupils’ academic progress, attainment and overall wellbeing.

Working collaboratively with teaching staff, support staff and families, the HLTA will help ensure that all pupils are supported to achieve their full potential. The role also involves providing regular feedback to teachers on pupil progress and performance.

The HLTA will actively contribute to key staff meetings and continuing professional development (CPD), and will take an enthusiastic role in supporting the wider life of the school community. Visits to the school are warmly welcomed.
