We are looking for a Cook, to work at Shepherds Corner, based in West Croydon. This is a part time role, working Thursday and Friday, 9am - 2pm including bank holidays (at an enhanced rate)
Duties of the Cook position include
- Prepare nutritional meals (lunch and dinner), following a menu plan, whilst meeting the needs of our culturally and diet specific residents.
- Daily cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and equipment
- Maintain inventory of kitchen equipment
- Utilise knowledge of HACCP and current food regulations
- Management of food ordering and stock rotation
- Interaction with Service Users to reflect their food choices
The successful Cook will have
- Good and proven communication skills essential
- Must be able to communicate verbally with vulnerable adults
- Able to work under own initiative
- Flexible with hours of work
- Willingness to learn about CQC/Care Standards
- Must have a minimum of Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificate and previous experience of food preparation in a commercial/domestic/hospital setting.
