Heathvale House specialises in supporting people with mental health and/or learning disabilities. They provide 24‑hour accommodation and support for 9 male residents in a homely environment where a majority of clients have resided with the home for extended periods of time. Nutrition is an important part of providing the perfect care to our service users, and the Cook does just this! You will have all dietary requirements and cultural requirements, and a genuine interest in the wellbeing of our service users.
Responsibilities
- Preparing nutritious meals for service users in line with guidelines/requirements
- Daily cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and equipment
- Maintain inventory of kitchen equipment and produce
- Utilise knowledge of HACCP and current food regulations
- Interaction with service users to reflect their food choices
Qualifications
- Food hygiene level 2 certification
- Previous experience of food preparation in a commercial, domestic, hospital or care setting
- Warm, approachable personality to engage with service users and vulnerable adults with ease
- Confident managing kitchen alone including cleanliness
