Job Description
This role brings together full technology capability and dependencies of our business via a matrixed delivery model and drives a regional ownership of all technologies impacting the Region, with full accountability for overseeing Technology Services deliverables at Regional ELT.
You’ll be the primary liaison and interface between the regional executive leadership team, including ELT members, all I&T programme and Change teams and I&T Service Delivery. You’ll proactively contribute to the development of the business by focusing on continuous improvement opportunities, whether through delivery and use of I&T-enabled capabilities or the secure use of our systems and data.
You’ll build an intimate understanding of the Regions’ geographically dispersed businesses, driving global standardization in solutions at an organizational level wherever possible to provide maximum return on investment aligned to the overarching I&T strategy. Where there is an agreed divergence from the global standard, ensure full transparency, security, performance, support, and business continuity for regionalised technology choice. You’ll act as an advocate for the regional customer in development of, and approval for, the prioritised portfolio of I&T needs, and promote understanding and alignment to I&T goals and objectives at a global level. The true value comes in being able to influence at the appropriate leadership levels on both sides, bringing together a strong partnership between business stakeholders and I&T. You’ll be focused on meeting the current, future, expressed and unexpressed demands of the function you support and the business, while maximising returns on I&T investment. Represent the Region CEO at the I&T Executive Steering.
Major/Key Accountabilities
Strategic Alignment:
- Own and drive the regional I&T strategy agenda, considering the overall I&T standards, vision, and corporate goals.
- Develop a deep understanding of the regional business strategies, objectives, and priorities, and align I&T initiatives and services to support them effectively.
- Identify and prioritize I&T initiatives that will have the greatest impact on the regional business units by forming the regional input to the Technology Services Portfolio prioritisation process. Work closely with the Regional Transformation Office, Digital, CX and Supply Chain Portfolio teams to ensure the I&T & Portfolio priorities align to Business I&T Product requirements.
- Collaborate with Brambles Office of the CIO (OCIO) to represent the Region in the Technology Services Portfolio prioritisation process. Adjust the Regional portfolio based on outcomes and ensure Region compliance with Global outcomes.
Relationship Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with regional business leaders, including the Regional CEO and their teams as an active member of that team. Act as a trusted advisor to regional stakeholders, providing guidance on leveraging technology to drive business value and achieve strategic objectives.
- Drive regional communication and collaboration between the central Technology Services function, other Global I&T delivery functions and regional stakeholders.
- Advocate for regional business needs within Global Business Technology Platforms and influence I&T programme design and decision-making processes.
- Influence regional stakeholders to adopt existing solutions to ensure synergies, maximise re-use, benefits and value of the Global Business Technology Platforms and alignment with the overall Technology Services strategy.
- Provide guidance and support to the Central Technology Services Function, Digital Program leads and Supply Chain teams in tailoring I&T Products and solutions to meet regional requirements.
- Monitor Internal Customer Satisfaction within the region and address concerns or gaps in I&T delivery aligned with the Global standard supported by the relevant I&T function (Digital / SC / TS).
- Own the full TS agenda across the region at the Regional CEO table with strong engagement and collaboration with their Direct Reports.
IT Service Delivery:
- Work closely with Programme Directors, the OCIO, Platform, Cyber, I&T Service Management and other Infrastructure teams in the function (Technology Service) to oversee the delivery of I&T services within the region, ensuring they meet or exceed agreed-upon service levels, quality standards, and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee I&T service performance metrics across the Region, identify areas for improvement, and work with I&T Service Management to implement changes to enhance service delivery.
IT Governance and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with I&T principles, policies, standards, and regulatory requirements within and across the region.
- Collaborate with the Global CIO and regional stakeholders to establish and enforce governance processes, I&T controls, and risk management practices in line with the Global Operating Model.
Regional IT Planning and Execution:
- Lead the development of the regional I&T plan, considering business needs, market dynamics, and emerging technology trends.
- Drive the execution of regional I&T initiatives, projects, and programs, ensuring successful delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
Resource Management:
- Own regional I&T resources allocation, including budget, resources (headcount), and external vendors or partners, to optimize resource allocation and support business priorities.
- Collaborate with the Global CIO and other regional I&T Directors to identify opportunities for resource sharing, synergies, and cost optimization.
Stakeholder Communication and Engagement:
- Primary point of contact for regional stakeholders, providing regular updates on I&T initiatives, performance, and value delivered.
- Own and drive effective communication and collaboration between the central Technology Services, regional stakeholders, and the Global OCIO.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Drive a culture of collaborative service improvement across I&T teams working in the Region while supporting strong value and innovation practices. Explore and implement emerging technologies and best practices alongside the Global Architecture Community to enhance business processes and outcomes.
- Foster a mindset of continuous improvement, encouraging feedback, and implementing initiatives to optimize I&T operations and services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field; Master’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education/experience
- Desirable – MBA
Experience
- Experience working across large-scale initiatives, bringing different stakeholder groups together to deliver value.
- Experience working within a bi-modal delivery environment (i.e., both waterfall and agile methodologies).
- Experience in diverse multi-cultural, matrix corporate cultures
- Significant previous experience in IT and/or Business Relationship role.
- 7+ years’ experience managing or influencing technical staff and projects in a similar role.
- Proven success in improving customer experience.
- Using information technology in a strategic context to further strategic goals.
