Senior Event Sales Executive
Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum + tips
Hours: 40 hours per week, with occasional evening and weekend work depending on events
Location: Near Milton Keynes
We re looking for a Senior Event Sales Executive to join a busy and established hospitality and events venue near Milton Keynes.
This is a great opportunity for someone who loves the commercial side of events but is equally passionate about delivering an excellent customer experience. You ll take ownership of enquiries from the first conversation through to confirmed booking and event handover, working across weddings, celebrations, conferences, meetings and private events.
About the candidate
You ll have previous experience within event sales, wedding sales, conference and events, hospitality sales or a similar customer-focused sales environment. You ll be confident building relationships with clients, understanding what they re looking for and turning enquiries into confirmed bookings. You ll be commercially minded, organised and comfortable managing multiple enquiries at different stages. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential, along with the confidence to conduct venue show rounds, discuss packages and identify opportunities to maximise revenue. Most importantly, you ll enjoy working with people and be able to combine a proactive sales approach with a warm, professional and personalised service.
What you ll do
- Manage and convert event enquiries into confirmed bookings
- Conduct venue show rounds and client appointments
- Prepare proposals, quotations and event documentation
- Build strong client relationships throughout the sales process
- Manage wedding, corporate and private event enquiries
- Identify upselling, repeat business and new sales opportunities
- Coordinate key event details and ensure a smooth operational handover
- Maintain accurate CRM records, contracts and payment schedules
- Work towards agreed sales and revenue targets
