Are you an experienced ER professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can confidently hit the ground running? We're looking for a commercially focused, confident, highly experienced ER Manager who can independently manage complex and high-risk employee relations cases, including managing tribunal claims, disciplinary, grievance, discrimination, contractual matters, restructure, conflict resolution, capability, settlement agreements, policy interpretation and other ER matters presenting risk to the company.
You will bring strong UK employment law knowledge, a calm and pragmatic approach, and the ability to balance risk with commercial decision-making in a fast-paced environment. This is a key role within a supportive and collaborative HR team, where you will act as the go-to ER Manager, working closely with other HR colleagues to deliver clear, practical and legally compliant outcomes.
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 DOE
Hours: Full-time
Location: Fully remote (Hampshire office attendance once each quarter)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead complex employee relations cases from start to finish, including disciplinaries, grievances, investigations, and other high-risk matters.
- Manage cases involving tribunal claims, supporting the business through each stage of the process.
- Provide confident, balanced and commercially aware ER advice to managers at all levels.
- Manage sensitive cases with professionalism, discretion and sound judgement.
- Ensure all ER activity is compliant with UK employment law, internal policies and best practice.
- Support and coach managers through ER processes, building confidence and capability.
- Prepare high-quality ER documentation, including case summaries and correspondence.
- Work collaboratively with HR Advisors, HR Admins and HR Business Partners to deliver a seamless ER service.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of ER processes and documentation.
- Maintain accurate case records and provide insight into ER trends and risk areas.

- Significant experience in a specialist ER role, managing complex cases autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience managing tribunal claims alongside complex employee relations cases.
- Strong, up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law.
- Confident influencing managers at all levels, including senior stakeholders.
- Comfortable working remotely while remaining collaborative and responsive.
- Resilient, pragmatic and solutions-focused, with excellent attention to detail.
