We are seeking an experienced, commercially minded HR Manager to join a fast-paced professional services organisation and play a pivotal role in delivering a high-performing, responsive and data-led HR function.
This is a broad and hands-on HR leadership role, ideally suited to an experienced HR professional who is equally comfortable operating strategically with senior stakeholders and getting involved in the day-to-day HR operations.
Salary - up to £65,000 DOE
Location - Dagenham area with travel to 3 other main sites at varying levels.
Hybrid - 3 days office/2 days working from home
Working closely with the HR Director and HR Business Partners you will provide leadership across the full employee lifecycle, supporting the organisation through workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee relations, engagement, organisational development, reward, change and continuous improvement.
A key focus of the role will be the use of MI, people data and workforce analytics across the organisation.
You will turn HR data into meaningful insight, identifying trends, risks and opportunities and using evidence to influence business decisions and the ongoing improvement of HR services.
Due to this important part of the role, experience within this area would be essential.
The role will also require a high degree of mobility across company locations, building strong relationships with managers and employees, ensuring consistency in HR delivery and providing visible, practical support across the business, so you must be comfortable with frequent travel to other sites.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and develop the HR team.
- Partner with the HR Director to deliver the people strategy and create and implement practical HR priorities and initiatives.
- Take overall responsibility for effective HR operations, ensuring processes, policies and procedures are consistently and efficiently delivered across the organisation.
- Provide trusted, commercially aware HR advice to senior leaders and managers across the full employee lifecycle.
- Utilise HR MI, dashboards, metrics and workforce analytics, using data to identify trends, measure performance, inform decision-making and support continuous improvement.
- Translate complex people data into clear, commercially relevant insight for senior leaders and managers.
- Support and lead on complex employee relations matters, organisational change, restructures, consultations and business transformation activity.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple company locations, travelling regularly to provide hands‑on HR support.
- Lead workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, employee engagement, retention and organisational development initiatives.
- Support recruitment and talent acquisition, ensuring effective attraction, selection and onboarding processes.
- Support reward activity, including salary benchmarking, pay reviews, benefits and reward analysis.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading and developing HR teams.
- Proven experience as a HR Manager, Senior HR Business Partner or Senior HR Generalist
- CIPD Level 5 qualification as a minimum- Level 7 desirable.
- Strong UK employment law and employee relations knowledge.
- Strong analytical capability, with demonstrable experience using HR systems, MI, people metrics and workforce data to identify trends and inform decisions.
- A proactive, commercially minded and solutions-focused approach.
- The flexibility and willingness to travel between company locations as required, maintaining a visible and consistent HR presence across the business.
