We’re looking for a friendly and organised HR Executive to join an education setting on a maternity cover basis. This is a part-time, term-time role (29.5 hours per week) supporting staff across two primary school sites. You’ll act as a trusted first point of contact for day-to-day HR matters, working closely with Headteachers and supported by a central HR function to ensure HR processes are compliant, well managed and supportive of a positive staff experience. The role is office-based, with some flexibility where possible.
About the candidate
You’ll enjoy working with people and building positive relationships, while feeling confident managing HR processes and sensitive situations. You’ll have experience across core HR activities, ideally within a school or public sector environment, and be organised, approachable and comfortable managing priorities across more than one site. You’ll handle confidential information professionally, provide day-to-day HR advice to managers and share a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. A CIPD Level 3 qualification (or working towards) and previous school-based HR experience are desirable but not essential.
Salary: £18,221.00 – £21,654.00 per annum (actual take home, term time only)
Hours: 29.5 hours per week, term time only

- Coordinate safer recruitment and maintain the Single Central Record
- Ensure payroll and HR data is accurate and up to date
