## Job Description
**Head of Bids – Sysco GB (Maternity Cover – 9 months)**
**Can be homed-based or Ashford (Hybrid)**

As a key member of the Sysco Marketing & Digital SLT, we have an exciting
opportunity as Head of Bids for Sysco GB on a 9-month maternity cover.
You’ll be responsible for the management of Sysco GB’s centralised bid team,
providing best practice and positive leadership to ensure the highest quality
scores are achieved in all submissions. The team support new customer
proposals as well as retentions and growth with existing customers.
**What you’ll be doing:**
* Driving best practice in proposal development and bid process across Sysco GB.
* Ensuring appropriate allocation of bid resource and supporting team members with managing each submission ensuring timely, high-quality proposals.
* Leading the review process for all proposals, qualifying reviewers and performing high impact reviews.
* Building collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to support the bid process and in particular the content, relevance and currency of the bid library.
* Maintain a deep knowledge and understanding of the foodservice market and Sysco GB’s competitors.
**What we are looking for:**
* A strong track record of successful delivery in bid management, achieving excellent quality scores for tenders worked on by your team and personally.
* Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment and effectively manage multiple projects and priorities.
* APMP Foundation-level (or higher) or experience leading bid teams or bid management activity on high profile and complex tenders.
* Strong knowledge of foodservice hospitality would be a distinct advantage.
