At Brakes, we’re on the lookout for a motivated individual to join our dynamic Accounts Payable Team. In this role, you’ll manage parked invoices, resolve queries, and communicate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders through our VIM system. You’ll also handle daily administrative tasks, including bank postings and managing rejected EDI invoices.

This position offers a Monday to Friday schedule, totaling 37.5 hours per week, with the flexibility of hybrid working—spending just two days a week in our Ashford office (after approved training). Ideally, you should be within a commutable distance to Ashford.
\\n\\nYour Key Responsibilities:\\n

- Navigate through parked invoices using our VIM system, clearly communicating with stakeholders about discrepancies and required actions to ensure timely payments.
- Perform daily tasks such as posting bank entries, creating debit notes for stock returns, and correcting EDI submissions.
- Meet key performance indicators (KPIs) set for AP Administrators.
- Support colleagues by covering their tasks during absences.
- Take on ad-hoc tasks as needed to support the team.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in Accounts Payable or a related administrative role. We’re looking for someone who can prioritize workloads and thrive under pressure while using their initiative to meet KPIs and SLAs. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, and intermediate Excel skills (like V-Lookups and Pivot Tables) would be a plus—don’t worry, we can provide training! Familiarity with SAP is advantageous but not required.
