Area Sales Manager – Manchester (Homebased/Field Sales)

Up to £35,000 base salary + uncapped bonus, company car and home‑based contract.

We are looking for a current or prospective field‑sales professional to join our Independent Sales Team and forge a career in sales.

  • Key Accountabilities
  • Role model our Company Values / Purpose.
  • Build and leverage strong customer relationships through a natural curiosity in the independent sector.
  • Grow and retain customers delivering profitable volume growth versus targets.
  • Effectively partner customers to understand their growth plans, add value, and offer a wide range of practical solutions and products.
  • Understand competitor activity & proposals, ensuring we always offer the best local solutions.
  • Work pro‑actively with the Business Development Manager to understand new customer requirements and ensure a successful handover.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for Brakes in your local market.
  • Candidate Profile

We expect you to be highly service‑focused, putting the customer at the heart of everything you do, with tenacity, resilience, self‑motivation and a strong drive to succeed.

You should have demonstrable experience of delivering against sales targets and be a self‑starter who seeks continuous improvement.

Experience with Salesforce or similar technology is advantageous.
