We are recruiting for a Business Analyst to join the Enterprise Services Team, (Finance, HR & Legal) on a full time, permanent basis, reporting into the Delivery Lead on a 18 month fixed term contract. This role will be working across initiatives that support our Enterprise Services (HR, Finance & Legal) functional area in projects that span across Europe with both internal and external teams in a matrix organisation.
You will work in partnership with cross-functional teams to elicit, interpret and capture business needs into clear and concise functional / non-functional requirements, and acceptance criteria. This role will be the consistent thread throughout the lifecycle of change, utilising a strong analytical skill set to take business requirements through to successful delivery. Also supporting onboarding of a technical solution into Product Support teams.
Whilst not responsible for direct reports, there is an expectation that this role can help to drive the community of Business Analysts that sit across technology functional teams with best practice tools, techniques, and methodologies. This role is offering a hybrid working contract that can be based either in our Covent Garden, London office, or our Ashford office and will require visiting either office 2-3 times per week. The role will reside within the Europe Technology function. There may be a requirement to spend time with business stakeholders on site across Europe as projects require, or work across other functional pillars as deemed necessary.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities- Responsible for translating business needs into clear technical requirements, ensuring proposed solution meets agreed outcomes.
- Key role in communicating between the business and technology, acting as a translator where necessary.
- Ensure personal knowledge and exposure to business change opportunities remains up to date, appropriate and relevant.
- Planning and managing small scale change where needed.
- Serve projects that are part of the Enterprise Services technology portfolio. There may be a requirement to deliver across functional areas / other technologies as needed.
- Support business function in the prioritisation of requirements based on business value, ensuring they are aligned to the desired outcomes and case for change.
- Work with business and technical teams, to ensure the recommended solution meets the needs of the business.
- Empowered to positively challenge and influence across teams if the requirement, solution, or case for change, to ensure alignment to the overarching business strategy and delivery roadmap.
- Communicate cross-functionally between operational and technical teams, acting as a translator where necessary.
- Work within internal project delivery governance processes, with familiarity of both agile and waterfall methodologies.
- Demonstrated Business Analyst experience within a Technology environment, supporting large scale project delivery involving business process and technology change.
- Demonstrated experience of Business Analyst tools / techniques to elicit, document and maintain requirements throughout the lifecycle of a project (both waterfall and agile).
- Experience within HR, Finance & Legal technology and/or a FMCG/wholesale/retail environment would be an advantage.
To be successful in this role you must have the ability to build strong and long-lasting relationships with stakeholders through positive and proactive engagement. You should have the ability to ask insightful questions to extract detail required from stakeholders. You will possess a high level of attention to detail and be organised with the ability to present and document information based on the needs of the project. You’ll have an analytical and inquisitive mindset and think tactically and strategically with the ability to present options to solve problems. You will be able to lead and coach others across the vertical who are in a similar role so you will be able to take the lead under minimal supervision.
