Sysco GB are recruiting an additional Fleet Compliance Business Partner to join the Fleet Compliance team.
A key role reporting to the Head of Fleet Compliance, working with the Sysco GB Ltd Organisation on all aspects of driver and vehicle compliance.
The role involves analysing compliance data and trends through reports, utilizing maintenance and tachograph compliance systems to support the transport and fleet teams, ensuring adherence to KPIs and DVSA Earned Recognition standards.
We seek a proactive individual with a supportive approach, a can-do attitude, and a drive for continuous improvement. The candidate should thrive on challenges and aim to deliver top-tier fleet and driver compliance performance for Sysco GB.
This is a home-based position, requiring extensive travel across the Sysco network. A full UK driving license and willingness to travel are essential.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Review and analyse vehicle fleet compliance, including maintenance, safety inspections, ancillary equipment, and calibration, using the company\’s systems and addressing any issues.
- Ensure driver compliance standards meet KPIs related to working time directives and tachograph infringements, aligning with DVSA and Earned Recognition guidelines.
- Monitor MOT pass rates regionally and nationally, collaborating with the fleet engineering team to improve performance.
- Support compliance with the Traffic Commissioner’s undertakings and O licence requirements.
- Assist depots to meet Earned Recognition audit criteria, providing support where needed.
- Support operators with compliance training and driver support initiatives.
- Oversee vehicle walkaround procedures, ensuring standards are met through sampling and audits, and follow up on any failures.
- Manage projects assigned by the Head of Fleet Compliance.
- Compile performance metrics for monthly reviews, developing action plans for underperformance.
- Regularly review operator licences for compliance, highlighting non-conformities.
- Review manual entry error requests, make amendments, and manage sanctions for repeat offenders.
- Prepare reports and follow up on non-conformities outside KPI standards, including DVSA submissions.
- Attend enforcement or stakeholder visits, representing the business as needed.
- Conduct depot investigations into serious incidents, analyzing data and presenting findings.
- Collaborate on projects to uphold high compliance standards and support the Earned Recognition accreditation.
- Review and update Fleet Compliance policies, implementing new processes aligned with Earned Recognition, and supporting depot rollouts.
About you:
You will hold a transport management CPC qualification, with strong knowledge of operator undertakings and DVSA guidelines. Integrity, high personal standards, and leadership qualities are essential. You should be a collaborative leader, capable of building relationships internally and externally, with a passion for compliance and continuous improvement. The role requires a supportive attitude towards colleagues and stakeholders, with prior experience in fleet compliance management. Willingness to travel within your region, including occasional overnight stays, is necessary.
