We’re seeking a proactive and reliable a skilled Facilities Engineer (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) looking for your next opportunity. You\’ll become a valued member of our team who can carry out in-house maintenance of building services and equipment across site on a permanent basis. You\’ll ensure reliability of the depot operations and colleague safety at our Brakes (part of Sysco GB) depot in Reading, Berkshire.

As a key member of our engineering team, you\’ll take charge of maintaining essential building services and equipment, ensuring the reliability of our depot operations and the safety of our colleagues. From electric doors, you\’ll be responsible for the upkeep and performance of a range of critical machinery. Your role will involve carrying out scheduled lubrication routines, conducting preventative maintenance, and responding to general repairs, helping to reduce our reliance on external contractors.

You’ll be someone with experience in either electrical or mechanical engineering disciplines (18th Edition Wiring regulations – desirable), and general facilities plumbing would be a great advantage. IT skills would be useful, particularly in Microsoft Office, are also beneficial. Flexibility is key, as you’ll need to be available for occasional emergency call-outs.
