We are currently recruiting for a results driven Finance Business Partner to join our commercial finance team in Fresh Direct. Our finance colleagues are a central hub of knowledge, and as a Finance Business Partner within the Commercial Finance division, you'll ensure that your team are on hand to support the business in every way possible to achieve business growth across all regions of the UK. Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, you'll business partner a member of the Fresh FLT and be responsible for providing finance support across our business. You will also support, develop and drive the analysis and understanding of key business initiatives which directly link to our strategic growth pillars. Furthermore, you will build and evaluate financial evaluations to ascertain the suitability of business opportunities and focus on margin impacting activity. This is a well-supported role for a qualified finance professional looking to take the next step in their career. We offer a clear development path to Senior Finance Business Partner. This role offers flexible hybrid working with 1-2 days based in our Wigan office for team collaboration and meetings, so ideally you will be within a commutable distance, but remote working will also be considered.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Business partnering the FLT member.
  • Working with the finance team on initiative modelling, eligibility, targets & subsequent analysis on ROI and the benefits derived.
  • Attend regular meetings across Fresh Direct with both finance and non-finance teams which will include monthly P&L reviews and quarterly finance performance reviews.
  • Leveraging analysis into deliverable guidance / recommendations to the management team.
  • Clear understanding of the drivers of actual weekly and monthly results compared to forecast/budget and prior year.
  • Forecasting, Budget, Flash management and ownership of Workday updates.
  • Act as deputy for the Senior Finance Business Partner as required.
  • Support the rest of the team with their daily activities, developing new ways of working or simplifying current reporting.
  • Developing of models to provide insight across Commercial.
  • Responsible for collaborating with sales, merchandising, manufacturing colleagues to ensure in depth understanding of the business and its financial drivers.
  • Act as a central point of contact for internal stakeholders for finance-related queries.
  • Produce reports/presentations as required to drive business results.
  • Act as an ambassador for finance promoting cross functional collaboration and understanding.

About you:

You'll be a newly qualified accountant in CIMA, ACCA or ACA and be able to drive performance through insight. Someone with strong business partnering skills across all levels with confidence and ability to understand trends and results. A high level of competency in financial analysis and modelling is essential. This role will require you to flex to different audiences and build strong stakeholder relationships so you must be comfortable with feedback and react with broad thinking. A great role for someone who has a history of adding value and has the enthusiasm to strive for continuous improvement. We are looking for an individual who is highly numerate with strong data analytical skills who enjoys working towards tight deadlines in an agile commercial environment.
