Overview
Senior Product Designer (Fully remote, contract) at Braintrust. This role involves developing top-quality digital products for startups, collaborating closely with startup partners to own the design process for major product areas that drive business success.
As a Senior Product Designer, you will conduct user research (interviews and surveys), translate findings into sitemaps, wireframes and prototypes, and design the overall product functionality to deliver a strong user experience.
Responsibilities
- Partner with product managers, developers, external stakeholders and other design team members to define user problems
- Facilitate research to identify design problems and opportunities through UX research initiatives
- Clearly articulate design rationale to peers and stakeholders, balancing technical feasibility and business goals
- Design purposeful solutions focused on solving real user problems
- Help establish, promote and support human-centered design principles, best practices and accessibility standards; contribute to the design system and visual design language
- Provide guidance and mentorship to other designers to foster an inclusive and collaborative team environment
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer (or similar) in fast-paced SaaS environments, collaborating with developers and product managers
- A portfolio showing strong interaction and visual design, plus product strategy and design thinking
- Experience building scalable design solutions that are inherently accessible
- Experience in collaborative and lean/agile environments (startup, product, agency, studio)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using Figma and building design systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in UX Design, Graphic Design or related field
- Experience with illustration and animation
