We have an opportunity for an HGV Technician to join our team based in the Fleet Workshop at Braintree District Council.

Location: Braintree, Essex

Salary: £39,545 to £42,965 per annum (inclusive of Market Supplement)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

HGV Technician - The Role:

Working in within the fleet workshop, you will be part of the team looking after the maintenance and servicing needs of the Council's mixed fleet of heavy and light goods vehicles, plant and machinery. One of your key responsibilities will be to ensure vehicles are serviced and maintained according to the schedule and to DVSA standards, manufacturer's procedures, the Council's Operators Licence and relevant legislation. Other duties will include diagnostic work, preparation for MOT's, running repairs, roadside breakdown and recovery, welding, completion of paperwork and accurate maintenance records.
