The Braintree Bocking & District Liberal Club is a vibrant, welcoming venue serving our loyal members and their guests. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Club Steward (or couple) to lead day-to-day operations and contribute to the ongoing success of our club.
Role Overview:
As Club Steward, you will be responsible for the overall management and daily running of the club, including the bar, kitchen, and cellar. Your focus will be on ensuring a high-quality experience for our members, maintaining facilities, and supporting events. The position offers the ideal opportunity for a couple or family looking to live on-site and run a close-knit, community-focused establishment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the clubβs daily operations.
- Deliver excellent customer service to members and guests.
- Liaise regularly with the Management Committee.
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of club facilities.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Plan and support club events and special occasions.
- Oversee stock control for bar and kitchen.
- Manage bar and food service areas efficiently.
- Prepare and serve food; create and maintain a menu for members.
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role (club, pub, or hospitality setting preferred).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to plan, prepare, and serve food appropriate to the membership.
- Proficient in purchasing and managing stock.
- Cellar management experience.
- References required.
