We condense 12 weeks term time learning into a few hours of fun, fast game play. We are seeking mission-driven, highly-experienced primary and secondary (IGCSE and GCSE) Curriculum SMEs (subject matter experts), with a passion for education and fostering a love of learning through play. We are seeking specialists in; · Art · Biology · Chemistry · Classics · Climate · Design · English Literature & Language · Geography · History – world history across diverse cultures · Enterprise & Innovation · IT & Technology · Languages: Arabic, French, Spanish, Italian, German · Maths · Music · Physics · Sports & Wellbeing & Nutrition As an SME, you will play a vital role in bringing our educational games to life by creating knowledge packs aligned with the curriculum from 5yrs to 16yrs in UK schools and internationally. Working collaboratively with the Curriculum Team, you will use your classroom experience to deliver accurate, high quality and creative curriculum knowledge that form the basis for our multiverse of educational games. This is a unique opportunity to apply your skills in a meaningful context and help shape the future of education through captivating educational gaming experiences, which will impact the current and future learners, revolutionising the way children learn. Brainspark Games is based in London W10 offering hybrid work. SMEs work on a freelance basis with total flexibility – work can be done alongside your current teaching role/ personal commitments. Responsibilities: Develop cohesive curriculum documents outlining key knowledge according to specification Create slide decks from template using accurate and carefully selected examples for syllabi Collaborate with the Curriculum Team to ensure scope of work is manageable and timely Ensure curriculum content is high level and uses legitimate, non-plagiarised sources Requirements: Undergraduate degree in a relevant subject from a leading university Proven experience (5+ years) as a classroom practitioner Experience teaching UK National Curriculum, ISEB 11+/13+ or GCSE specification Strong subject knowledge in relevant subject areas Excellent eye for detail and accuracy when producing extensive knowledge documents Strong understanding of the nature of curriculum development and the links between subjects Outstanding communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a team Proactive and self-motivated approach to manage time and tasks efficiently and work to pre-agreed deadlines Desirable: Postgraduate qualifications Subject leadership Passion for gaming, gamified learning or immersive technologies
