The Company
As featured on BBC’s Dragons’ Den, multi-award winning EdTech Gaming studio, Brainspark Games is building free, culturally inclusive, AI-powered, Augmented Reality educational mobile games aligned with the UK national curriculum, for 7-13 year olds and GCSE students. We condense 12 weeks term time learning into a few hours of fun, fast gameplay!

You’ll be the first to pioneer AI and AIOps in gaming, shaping how AI is used in gameplay building best of breed. Learn from AI experts; work closely with leading AI researchers and engineers, gaining deep, real-world AI exposure at production scale. Responsibilities
- We are looking for a Tech Lead to help shape the future of learning through AI-powered gaming.
- You will sit at the intersection of product vision, engineering execution, and AI innovation, project management, owning the roadmap and technical direction of our platform as we scale from award-winning games to a fully-fledged AI-driven platform.
- This is not a maintenance role. You’ll be building first-of-its-kind systems, defining how AI can enhance learning, creativity, and gameplay at scale.
- Own and evolve the product and technical roadmap, balancing gameplay innovation, educational outcomes, and platform scalability.
- Work closely with AI researchers, ML engineers, game designers, and educators.
- Implement and mature AIOps practices to improve reliability, experimentation speed, and data-driven decision making.
Required skills
- Strong experience with Next.js or a comparable modern web/frontend stack.
- Solid understanding of technical architecture, system design, and design patterns.
- Comfortable making high-level technical decisions and translating product vision into scalable solutions.
- Eager to work hands-on with AI systems, learning directly alongside top AI experts in the UK.
- Curious, adaptable, and excited to apply AI to real-world, production-grade gaming systems.
- Comfortable with BDD and solid understanding of end-to-end testing methodology.
- AI and gaming expertise is optional — what matters is that you are a fast learner, forward-thinking, and genuinely excited by AI.
