The Casino Compliance Manager is a pivotal leadership role responsible for ensuring that all casino products and games meet strict regulatory standards across multiple active and emerging markets. Leading a dedicated team of six, this role acts as the critical bridge between Casino Operations, Quality Assurance (QA), and Commercial teams. The Manager will drive process improvements, oversee multi-market governance, and guarantee that only certified games are deployed. Additionally, this role is responsible for scoping new market entries, implementing safeguards against Game Service Provider (GSP) failures, leading incident investigations, and owning the internal Compliance Portal.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Development: Directly manage and mentor a team consisting of one Team Lead and five compliance/QA specialists, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring clear alignment with departmental goals.
- New Market Scoping & Commercial Support: Lead the compliance scoping for new market entries, establishing foundational operating procedures and actively supporting the Commercial team to ensure business expansion aligns seamlessly with regulatory constraints.
- Cross-Functional Operations Link: Serve as the primary liaison between Casino Operations and the QA department to guarantee seamless communication and workflow alignment.
- Game Certification & Deployment: Oversee the end-to-end go-live process for casino games, ensuring that all live content is fully certified, tested, and strictly adheres to the specific license requirements of each regulated market.
- GSP Safeguarding & Risk Management: Develop, implement, and maintain robust safeguards and operational processes to protect the business against Game Service Provider (GSP) technical failures, downtime, or compliance shortcomings.
- Incident Investigation & Mitigation: Lead deep-dive investigations into compliance breaches, GSP incidents, or technical failures. Support the wider business by managing player compensation calculations and drafting formal mitigation requests or incident reports for regulatory bodies.
- QA Process Improvements: Continuously evaluate and optimize Quality Assurance workflows, identifying bottlenecks and implementing strategic improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in game testing.
- Market Process & Governance: Establish and enforce robust governance frameworks across all operational markets to ensure the business remains agile and compliant with rapidly changing multi-jurisdictional regulations.
- Casino Compliance Portal Ownership: Lead the strategic building, ongoing development, and daily ownership of the internal Compliance Portal, ensuring it serves as a reliable, centralised source of truth for certifications, market rules, and QA tracking.
- Stakeholder Reporting: Provide regular updates, risk assessments, and compliance health checks to the Head of Regulated Casino and the VP Casino.
- Continuous Technology Review: Regularly evaluate existing compliance software and systems to ensure they remain effective and aligned with evolving industry standards.
- Automation Implementation: Identify and automate repetitive manual compliance tasks to reduce human error, enhance data accuracy, and improve operational productivity.
- Process Optimization: Conduct regular gap analyses to identify opportunities for control improvements and "bake" compliance requirements directly into new digital products or workflows.
- Data-Driven Oversight: Leverage advanced data analytics and AI tools to monitor for anomalies, detect potential fraud, and maintain a state of continuous compliance.
