About Brainology

Brainology is an established education provider supporting over 140 students each week across Birmingham. For over 7 years, we have worked with children and families to improve confidence, academic performance and future opportunities through our weekend programmes.

We are now seeking two exceptional Heads of Centre to join our senior leadership team. This is a high-impact leadership role reporting directly to the Directors and sitting above our existing Site Managers. You will be responsible for the overall success of your centre, leading staff, maintaining the highest safeguarding and compliance standards, driving operational excellence and helping shape the future direction of the organisation.

The Opportunity

This role is ideally suited to experienced education leaders who are looking to apply their leadership skills outside of the traditional school environment whilst continuing to make a meaningful impact on young people. You will have significant autonomy, responsibility and influence, working closely with the Directors to improve processes, raise standards and support growth across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Management
    • Lead all staff operating within your assigned centre.
    • Manage and support Site Managers and teaching staff.
    • Foster a positive, professional and accountable culture.
    • Act as the senior leader on site during Saturday operations.
    • Support recruitment, onboarding and staff development initiatives.
  • Safeguarding & Compliance
    • Ensure safeguarding remains the highest priority at all times.
    • Maintain compliance with all organisational policies and procedures.
    • Oversee health and safety standards across the centre.
    • Manage incidents, concerns and escalations appropriately.
    • Ensure all required records and documentation are maintained.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Oversee the successful delivery of all Saturday sessions.
    • Ensure students, parents and staff receive an exceptional experience.
    • Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.
    • Monitor attendance, engagement and operational performance.
    • Drive consistency across all centre processes.
  • Strategic Development
    • Work directly with the Directors to influence organisational improvements.
    • Provide regular leadership feedback and recommendations.
    • Support initiatives designed to improve student retention and growth.
    • Contribute to the development of future programmes and services.
