We have one position available at each of our centres:

Small Heath – Ark Victoria Academy

Perry Barr – Broadway Academy

You will be the senior person onsite and the key decision-maker for the centre every Saturday.

What You'll Own

Your responsibility is to ensure the centre runs professionally, safely and to an exceptionally high standard from opening to closing.

You will:

  • Lead the full Saturday operation of the tuition centre
  • Manage, support and hold teachers and onsite staff accountable
  • Ensure every classroom meets Brainology's expected teaching standards
  • Monitor the quality of teaching, behaviour and student engagement
  • Observe and assess teachers and provide constructive feedback

  • Act as the senior point of contact for parents
  • Handle parent questions, concerns and escalations professionally

  • Take responsibility for safeguarding procedures and incidents
  • Ensure appropriate policies and procedures are followed throughout the centre
  • Maintain the standards expected within an Ofsted-registered childcare/education environment
  • Manage incidents and ensure they are correctly recorded and escalated
  • Identify weaknesses in current processes and implement improvements
  • Work with Brainology's leadership team to continuously raise standards

Who We're Looking For

We want an established education professional who can walk into a busy tuition centre and confidently lead it.

You should have:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience working within education
  • Demonstrable leadership or management experience within an educational setting
  • Experience managing teachers, tutors or education staff
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Experience dealing directly with parents
  • Confidence handling difficult conversations and making decisions
  • Experience observing or assessing teaching quality
  • A strong understanding of what excellent teaching and learning looks like
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • The confidence to hold staff accountable for standards
  • A proactive approach to improving systems and processes

Experience as a Head of Department, Assistant Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, Curriculum Lead, Pastoral Lead, Education Centre Manager, Tuition Centre Manager or similar education leadership role would be particularly relevant.

QTS is advantageous but not essential where significant education leadership experience can be demonstrated.

Pay & Working Pattern

Β£100–£120 per day, depending on experience

10:00am–2:30pm

This could be particularly suitable for an experienced education professional looking for an additional leadership position alongside their existing career.

You must be able to commit consistently to Saturdays during Brainology's operating calendar.
