What’s the role
We are looking for a Business Director to lead a portfolio of clients and inspire, motivate and develop a multi-disciplined team to deliver the very best of Brainlabs. You will act as the senior client contact developing strong partnerships through impeccable relationship management, strategic guidance and leadership skills. Being a trusted advisor, you will seek to understand the needs of our partners and bring together the right skills within the team to shape and develop compelling client strategies and meticulous delivery of these to go above and beyond the expectations of the client.
What you’d do
- Client Management: A key element of your role will be to form, elevate and maintain meaningful relationships with clients, addressing and supporting their business challenges. You’ll cross-sell new services, and grow agreed services, by selling in year-long multi-channel strategic plans to senior clients.
- Strategic: You will be responsible for building best-in-class client strategies through the funnel and across the full spectrum of media from offline to digital. You’ll have an experimentation mindset looking to push boundaries to explore new strategies, tactics and ideas building best-in-class relationships with key media partners.
- People: You’ll work to inspire your diverse team of specialists to deliver best-in-class execution, inspirational strategies and most importantly business results for our clients. You will have between 3-5 direct reports with a wider team of 15-30 people. You are responsible for ensuring they all have clear objectives linked to the company growth plans and clear career progression mapping.
- Commercial: Working closely with your Client Partner, you’ll be responsible for managing the revenue and resources of your pod, have full commercial awareness of how revenue is generated and you’ll need to understand client needs to create and develop custom services and upsell to high value products. You will act as a leader in New Business, developing brilliant proposals and leading pitches.
Who we’re looking for
You are proactive, positive and self-motivated. You have a thorough understanding of all offline and digital marketing channels and a track record of successful leadership. You have experience working with both large and small premium clients. You’ll need to have excellent commercial skills, an understanding of resource management and a proven track record of successfully pitching for new business. You are able to juggle multiple, sometimes conflicting priorities and experience in managing and growing a large portfolio of clients. You have a deep knowledge of the principles of marketing science. You have experience in building cross channel media strategies and investment prioritisation towards KPIs. You have experience in managing and leading large multi-disciplinary teams (strategy, planning and channel experts), and working within a collaborative work environment. Having an entrepreneurial spirit and experience of working in independent or network agencies or with startup clients would be a big benefit to this role. Strong working relationships with Google and Facebook that allow you to get the best for your clients.
How to succeed in this role
The hard measures for the success of this role will be measured in client satisfaction (CSAT scores and RR%), client retention, meeting budgeted revenue, delivering existing client growth and new business. Happiness and retention of your team (the hive) will also be a key factor of your role. The soft measures are in team happiness, motivation and your own fulfillment in the role.
