Hours: Full time - 35 hours

Victoria House is a beautiful service situated on the bank of the Humber and provides accommodation, support, and care for people with brain injury and complex needs. It is part of Brainkind, a leading national charity, providing innovative care, rehabilitation, and support solutions for people with profound physical impairments, acquired brain injury.

Role Overview:

  • To provide support to our service users appropriate to their individuals needs ensuring that each service user leads a full and valued life.
  • To contribute to providing a homely environment, whereby the service user has maximum involvement in their own activities and decision making.
  • To enable service users to participate in and contribute to the local community

Key Responsibilities:

  • Boundaried, dignified and able to keep own counsel.
  • Have genuine empathy for our residents, with the positivity, patience, and resilience to support them through the challenging times of their rehabilitation.
  • Enjoy teamwork and take pride in getting a job done well alongside your colleagues.
  • Have excellent face to face communication skills and a good standard of literacy.
  • Have good time management skills and the ability to prioritise your own workload.
  • Have experience in moving and handling including hoists.
  • Enjoys providing people with good quality care
  • Understands the importance of person centred night checks, security and providing basic night care support such as repositioning.
  • A competitive rate of up to £14.21 per hour
